'Green Drachma II' (LIFE04ENV / GR / 000145) is a joint initiative elaborated by 8 Greek organizations (local development agencies, local authorities, private companies and associations) under LIFE ENVIRONMENT programme.

AIM: The project aims at building the foundations for the transition from the intensive tourism model to the sustainable tourism model in the geographical area of Halkidiki, North Greece. To do so, Green Drachma II organizes a variety of actions, which will create significant benefits for the targeted organizations-enterprises.

The project targets mainly to: Tourist accommodations (Hotels), Farmers, Agro-food processing industries, Environmental friendly suppliers of enterprises from the 3 previous sectors, Local authorities.
